I love the process of taking landscape photographs. Planning locations and light conditions ahead of time. Traveling to interesting places. Doing nothing but photography from before dawn and late into the night. For me it is the comfort food of photography.

Having said that, landscape photography for me is really about getting out of my usual environment. It is about wax on wax off (Karate Kid reference, see it now). It is about practicing craft so when my eyes are opened to seeing the world differently, I am ready for it.
